GRASS AGM Follow-up

GRASS held its AGM on Thursday 22 nd June at the Grassmarket Project. There was an

excellent turnout of residents. The names of a number of new volunteers to the Committee

were put forward as well as all existing committee members agreeing to stand again for re-

election. The main issues discussed were the ongoing saga of India Buildings, currently the

subject of a judicial review; the success of the West Port Garden; the urgent need to raise

funds and improvements to the public space including more planters and the need to take

action against restaurants whose tables are illegally encroaching. Jonny Kinross, the Chief

Executive gave an impressive update on the work of the Grassmarket Project.
